He’s also not the tallest person around, nor does he have the bulkiest of frames, in fact one might say that he has a slender frame, but you’ll get an even colder glare than usual if you say that.
Lukas’ face is also usually blank, with little to no expression shown on it. It take something really big/surprising/horrifying for him to change his facial expression. He almost tends to seem half asleep most of the time with his blank face and eyes. He always wears a hairpin he got when he was young from his grandmother. According to her it’s a symbol from the Old World, a Nordic cross.

Personality: Lukas is a bit of an odd person. He really doesn’t like talking to people all that much, and really does prefer reading books over talking to people. He tends to spend all the time he can in the castle’s library, wasting away his free time (and sometimes even when he’s supposed to be doing his Bishop duties) reading up on some obscure topic about the Old World or some such subject. He is very loyal however, and when he has to do his duties, he will usually put those before all else. And then escape to go read somewhere.
He isn’t very good with people, which is one reason why he normally stays away from them if possible. He just doesn’t quiet know how to deal with them really. He also isn’t quite sure how to handle emotions, so he just doesn’t show any. His face stays blank almost all the time, no matter what. He’s a bit like a rock, you just can’t shake him. Many have tried, it’s never worked.
Lukas loves nature and being outside. He hates being cooped up anywhere, even if it's snowing or raining. if you can't find him inside, he is more than likely outside with a book reading. He does however love to spend hours upon hours in the library, so that is where you can usually find him, but if he’s not there, then he’s outside somewhere or in his room. But wherever you find him, he’s likely to be reading.
He’s very hard to anger, considering that he’s apathetic when it comes to most things, no matter what it is, nor does he have much of a temper at all when you do anger him. He can however, hold a grudge for a very long time. He has an almost eidetic memory, so he remembers basically everything he has ever read, and along with that, he tends to remember a lot of other things, which makes it pretty easy for him to hold grudges against people. Granted, sometimes it’s for something stupid, other times, it’s perfectly justified.
He’s pretty awkward when put into situations where he has to be social, or is supposed to show emotion of some sort, and tends to try his best to get away from them. The only ones who Lukas doesn’t actively try to get away from are the King and Queen and his lille bror. He is very protective of his lille bror, even though he hasn’t seen the boy in years, he will still do almost anything for him. That is, if he ever manages to find his lille bror again.
History: Lukas does remember his family somewhat, as he was nearly six when he got taken away from them to begin his training as a Bishop. He can remember his parents with some clarity, along with his grandparents. He remembers his little brother the clearest though. His brother was the one person Lukas promised he would never forget when he got taken away.
He spent the first six years or so of his life in norther Pariter with his family though. His grandparents would always tell him stories from the Old World, while his father discouraged it, that never stopped Lukas from wanting to hear more. When he was about four, his grandfather told him about mythical creatures, such as faeries, trolls, nisse, and the like. Lukas was determined to find them, and spent hours in the forests around his house searching for them. He did eventually find them, and with them came along a whole new world of possibilities thanks to magic. He made sure to tell his lille bror all about them, as he could never keep a secret form his bror. However, he only had a year with them before he got taken to the capital of Pariter to begin his training as a Bishop.
Lukas never forgot about magic though even after he had been taken away from his family, and his precious lille bror. He began training as the Queen’s Bishop at the age of six, and did rather well in his lessons, even though he did tend to get distracted by all the books in the library. When he was ten, he found an ancient book about Norse magic buried behind many other books on a shelf far to the back of the large library. He began to practice it in secret, not sure how anyone would react to it, and he has kept it a secret for the most part to this day. He would of course, tell Their Majesties about it right away if they ever asked, but they never have, so he will continue to keep it a secret as best as he can, a little scared of what the potential repercussions could be.
Lukas still does spend most of his time in the library reading when he isn’t off doing his duties. And even when he is, he tends to bring a book with him to read at the same time. He’s always on the lookout for his lille bror though, he has been ever since the day the were separated.
Additional Information: +Lukas has a nearly eidetic memory, which allows him to recall almost everything he has ever read, and helps him to remember over things. It’s pretty useful with all the reading he does..
+You can almost always find Lukas reading a book, no matter what else he might be doing (or supposed to be doing) he will usually have a book with him, and is likely to be reading it
Roleplay Sample: Lukas had spent the majority of the day wandering around the campus, no, he was not lost thank you very much, he was just walking around, because he had nothing better to do... Except for maybe go to class... But it wasn't his fault that they made the classrooms so hard to find! Honestly, he thought to himself as he walked, hands stuffed into his jacket pockets, they should make the classrooms easier to find.... Or at least give the students better maps. Yeah, a better map would be helpful too.
Lukas blew a few loose strands of hair out of his face, frowning as they fell back into it, and sighing as he stopped his aimless wandering to fix his hair pin, and get his hair out of his face. It was just too hot here to let his bangs blow into his face, as they would end up stuck to his forehead if he wasn't careful. His hair sticking to his forehead only made the heat here worse, honestly, he wondered why the school couldn't be located in a place with much more reasonable temperature, preferably somewhere up north, where it wasn't this warm out all the time.
Oh well, one good part of the island's location was the change of scenery he guessed, since it did give him more than a few new plants and other things to take pictures of and try his hand at sketching. It was also a nice temperature out for taking a nap underneath a tree, which Lukas tended to do when he got
He yawned slightly as he began to walk around again, attempting to find the tree that he normally camped out under, since it was about the only thing on campus that he could find... Most of the time... Some of the time... Okay, only a bit of the time, and he wasn't even sure if it was the same tree, whatever, nobody bothered him there, so he was fine.
Lukas continued to walk forwards, towards a line of trees that he could see, idly pulling his book out of his pocket as he walked, opening the worn out, old book to a dog-eared page. He stopped in his tracks when he saw someone else under the tree he normally sat under, with a dog by their side... Or at least a tree that looked like it. He cautiously approached the sleeping boy and dog, an eyebrow raised and a slight frown on his face. He bent down the top corner of the page he was on in his book, and stuck a foot out, hesitantly poking the other boy's foot. Lukas figured that he was a new student here, even though he himself still wasn't sure who all of the students were, so he doubted that he would really be able to tell who was a new student and who wasn't.
He hesitantly poked the other boy's foot again, trying not to startle him too much, still frowning a little. Neither of them looked like they were yet suited to the climate here, more so looking as if they were suited to the icy north, even more than Lukas himself was. And as much as he disliked being social and talking to those he doesn't know, he knew that sometimes he had to be.
