This school came into being one hazy summer years ago, when the world leaders at the time decided that it would be a good idea to send their best up and coming espionage and intelligence agents to one location, to train them to be the best of the best. They decided that it would be best to keep the school in a neutral zone, free from outside interference, hence why it is located on a small island in the middle of nowhere in the Atlantic Ocean.
This is how the Academy came to be, and now there are students from all over the world in attendance, specializing in everything from hand to hand combat, to explosive devices, to hacking the world's Supercomputers; no student's specialty is quite like the next.
One thing that separates this school from the spy schools in books, is that you can't make close friends, for fear that one day you will be pitted against them in the field and be forced to kill them. So the students instead make alliances with those they get along with and like, trade information, and secrets on other students and the staff. Along with alliances, the students make enemies, whether it be a petty grudge against something their country once did, or just an outright hatred of each other, there is sure to be some students who can't stand to be near one another.
The students also have to keep an eye on the staff, because they are from different countries and still hold old grudges, which they occasionally take out on the students, so they must always been on guard, just in case.
Once every month, the school holds a showcase of skills, to let the students show off how much they have learned, and how much they have improved since the last tournament. Whoever wins the tournament will receive an item that will help them improve on their skills and get stronger, and make others want to form alliances. However, once a student has won, they cannot participate in the next months tournament, so as to let other students have a chance to win.
